Koray Vural was someone who had been living in Tajikistan since 1994 and working in schools affiliated with the Gülen movement. After the coup attempt in Turkey on July 15, 2016, these schools were closed and Vural continued his life as an entrepreneur dealing with trade after this date. 1
“My name is Koray Vural. I have been living in Tajikistan for 29 years. On the morning of September 16, I was kidnapped by unidentified people in front of my workplace.” says at Koray Vural Official X address. 2
The Turkish government and officials are silent against the allegations that he was kidnapped. All calls made by his family through X are left unanswered.
Daughters Summeye Nur Vural and Yasemin Nur Vural state that their father was kidnapped by unidentified people in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
In the subsequent information shared by the family, they claimed that their father had been kidnapped by MIT and was being held at the Turkish Embassy, and that their father would be taken to Turkey and requested urgent help from the international community.
Omer Faruk Gergerlioglu, a member of the Turkish Parliament, shared flight information about the landing of a Bombardier Challenger 604 type aircraft on the Ankara, Turkey – Dushanbe, Tajikistan line at Ankara Etimesgut Military Airport and asked questions to the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. 3
His family is worried about the safety of Vural, who has not been heard from since the date he was kidnapped, and is waiting for urgent help from the international community.
